Hotel Meow is born out of a passionate dream by the Khan family who are providing the most caring loving environment for your loved Cat.

Accommodation in a Serene Country Setting

The Hotel is located in Tedderfield Estates – Eikenhof – just 20 minutes south of Jhb CBD, and is set in a beautiful serene country environment. Each room has ergonomically designed furniture and implements that make your cats stay pleasant and fun. The system used for housing your cat allows for easy cleaning and maintenance. Your cat will also have access to our sweet borehole water that is extracted 114 m below ground.

We endeavour to provide the love and attention that your cat is accustomed to at home. When you choose to leave your beloved cat with us, rest assured that you can have a peaceful and stress-free period away from it until you return. We will not let you down.

Hotel Meow Terms & Conditions

Rates & Taxes

Off Peak : R 80 per cat per day

Peak : R 120 per cat per day

Peak is December/January only!

Accommodation only (excludes food and cat litter).

Grooming : R20 extra per day (brushing only). We do not do eye care.

Operating Hours:

Monday to Friday : 9 am to 5 pm, Saturday : 9 am to 1 pm, Sundays and Public Holidays : CLOSED

Payment:

Full payment is due on the day of arrival in the form of cash or EFT.

Cancellations:

Should you wish to cancel or change the booking dates, 7 days notice is required or else the full amount will still be payable. Should you collect your pet earlier than dates booked and paid for, please note that there is no refund payable.

Food & Cat Litter

Our price excludes food and cat litter. Kindly supply food and cat litter for the duration of your cats stay. You can work on 150 g dry food per day and cat litter of 5kg for plus minus 2 weeks of stay. Any leftovers will be returned. Should the food or litter be depleted during the stay, there will be a fee of R 20 per cat per day for the Hotel Meow house brand cat food and litter. Please DO NOT bring any litter boxes, food or water bowls for your cat/s as we provide the same free of charge. You only need to bring your own cat food and litter for the duration of the stay.

Health

Please note that we do not cater for special needs cats with a disease, physical disability or medical condition that requires continuing care and attention above and beyond that of a normal cat. Should your cat display signs of illness, we reserve the right to take the cat to a vet in our area. The cost will be charged to the cat owner. You agree to provide your credit card details for this purpose. We accept no liability in the unlikely event that your pet becomes ill, lost, accidently gets hurt, escapes or dies during their stay with us. All pets are left entirely at the owner’s risk.

Flea Administration

All cats being accommodated at Hotel Meow need to have flea control administered on them, for the safety of your cat and others. Flea administration by Hotel Meow is a pre-requisite and is non-negotiable. A vet card indicating that flea prevention was undertaken not more than 2 weeks before admission will be acceptable. Hotel Meow does offer flea administration control at a cost of R50, however should you wish to use your own flea control medication, please bring it along and we will administer it for you at our premises at no cost.

Cleanliness & Hygiene

Cat enclosures are cleaned daily. Each enclosure is fitted with a sneeze barrier to prevent the transmission of diseases between cats. Should you require grooming ( brushing only ), the additional cost is R 20 per day. Please provide your cat’s brush for this.

Photos & Videos

Should you require daily photos and videos, this is available on request at R 20 extra per day.

Arrival & Departure

Full payment is required when dropping of your cat/s. We will only accept cats in pet carriers. Should you not possess one, you are welcome to use one of ours at arrival. Arrival and departure dates are to be arranged in advance as we work by appointment only. We will only release pets to their respective owners unless otherwise arranged.

Other

We reserve the right to decline acceptance of cats/pets without providing reasons. We accept no responsibility for any personal items brought to the cattery should they get damaged or lost. Please DO NOT bring any litter boxes, food or water bowls for your cat/s as we provide the same free of charge. You only need to bring your own cat food and litter for the duration of the stay. Booking is only confirmed once we have received both your booking acknowledgement and a 50% deposit. Note, we do not accept credit cards or cheques, ONLY cash or EFT.

Other

Bookings are valid for 24 hours only. Should the deposit not be received within 24 hours, the booking will be cancelled. We accept no liability in the unlikely event that your pet’s personal items eg blanket, toys etc get damaged or lost. All personal items are left entirely at the owner’s risk. Should you leave any personal items behind, we will not deliver, you are welcome to come back to collect. By receiving this document on whatsapp, you agree to the terms and conditions as set out in this document.

Non Collection

If pets are not collected within 3 days of the departure date and no communication has been received from the owner, a decision to rehome the cat will be made at the cattery owner’s discretion or to donate the cat to a cat shelter. The full amount will still be payable.
